CPSA is the association that unites all professionals in the swimming pool and spa industry under one umbrella. Together, we promote businesses, protect industry interests at the State level, create swimming pool and spa industry partnerships for success, and provide professionalism-enhancing opportunities for members to grow. Our members include California’s swimming pool and spa builders, swimming pool and spa service companies, manufacturers and distributors, and other industry associations. CPSA adheres to a mission statement and code of ethics that support the swimming pool and spa industry in the state of California.
CPSA is the only association in California registered to lobby the California State Legislature, the Governor’s Office and state and regulatory agencies. Government presents businesses with more serious challenges today than they can successfully handle individually. In the critically important California market, government intrusion, mandates, regulations, challenges, lawsuits and obsessive legislation continually threaten CPSA’s members’ bottom line. CPSA plays a critical role in educating government officials on critical pool and spa industry issues including water, unlicensed contractor abatement, child drowning prevention, and Virginia Graeme Baker Act enforcement, and many more.
Every local, regional and national pool and spa trade association active in California has an official representative serving on CPSA’ Board of Governors. This guarantees the widest possible industry base for CPSA’s governmental education policies and industry “protect” programs. Membership dues and voluntary contributions provide the necessary financial support for the association’s operations.
