“Words cannot describe how happy I am we chose The California Pool & Spa Atelier to build our pool. Although they are a big builder, it never felt that way. We always felt as if ours was the only pool they were building. On my friend Larry’s recommendation (who is a GC), I called them after meeting with five other pool builders. I learned so much doing research after meeting with each pool builder, that by the time I met with Bobby The California Pool & Spa Atelier, I was able to see the differences of their company. I had my pool design mostly figured out, but am thankful I made changes suggested by Bobby, including increasing the spa to 8′, wall design and finish materials to name a few. I would strongly recommend meeting with other pool builders first and visiting their office too, so you will see the difference between the builders. We noticed this from our first visit. I was impressed with their operation and how nice/professional everyone I met was during our “tour”. What’s amazing…this never changed during the whole process. Any minor issues or questions during the build, as any big project would have, were handle swiftly and properly by the attentive and engaged project manager, Carl Salley or anyone else involved. “We Could Not Be More Pleased With The Final Product. The California Pool & Spa Atelier & Sons, Inc. built our pool and spa during the construction of our new home in 2006. Our builder told me that in all his years as a home builder, he would use no other pool designer than Steve Schwartz at The California Pool & Spa Atelier Pools. As a General Contractor myself, a Building Official and Director of Building and Zoning for a local municipality I doubt that my background and knowledge make me an average customer. During our visit to the The California Pool & Spa Atelier facility, Steve Schwartz showed my wife and I everything from their offices, warehouse, to their production yard. I was very impressed to see that they make their own pavers, copings and rock features. Steve explained by manufacturing them in house they could control quality, availability and a perfect match in colors offered. We ended our tour by their indoor pool where you were able to see all of the different accessories, features, pavers and tiles that are offered. Steve did a fantastic job helping us design our pool. He explained how to best lay out the pool and patio, to take best advantage of our backyard and the views from our yard and how to tie it all into the rear of the house. We could not be more pleased with the final product. During the construction of our pool it was evident that the crews were skilled and took pride in their work. The California Pool & Spa Atelier uses the Gunite concrete process for the structural shell of their pools as opposed to Shotcrete. Gunite is more expensive and superior to Shotcrete. As an old concrete guy I took great pleasure watching these craftsmen work their magic. In the three years of owning our pool we have needed service a couple of times. To me it’s less important than you have a problem, but more important how you handle a problem. Each time The California Pool & Spa Atelier has fixed the problem quickly and professionally to our complete satisfaction. With my 35 years in the South Florida Construction Industry I without any hesitation recommend The California Pool & Spa Atelier & Sons and Steve Schwartz for all your pool needs. “Top Notch Professional Job. After weathering both Wilma and Katrina storms, it was time to renew and revitalize my pool area and backyard. Having decided to forgo the screen enclosure, I wanted to create an extension to my home that provided a living space where people could gather as well as make better use of the pool. In addition to creating additional space around the pool, there was also a need to address drainage problems from which the patio area had suffered for years. The associates at The California Pool & Spa Atelier & Sons understood my goals and turned my vision into a reality. Working alongside my personal designer, a plan was created that merged and addressed both my aesthetic desires and practical concerns. I knew from the initial sketch that we were on the same wavelength, but I never imagined that the end result would materialize into my own personal tropical oasis.
